Senior Backend Engineer

We’re looking for a senior level, data focused, backend engineer to join our quickly expanding engineering team. Los Angeles based applicants (or those willing to relocate) are preferred, but remote applicants will also be considered. You’ll join a lean, agile and efficient team and will play an important role in defining our development process and culture as our company grows.

You’ll be tasked with the continued development of Twinge and Noscope, and develop new platforms with ambitious objectives that, among other things, directly support Loaded and their roster of premier talent. (Lirik, DrDisrespect, Summit1g and many other top influencers in the space.)

You’re our ideal candidate if you:

Are extremely passionate about building products.
Love gaming, streaming, esports
Enjoy and understand the tradeoffs and benefits of working at a startup
Don’t hate modern PHP (We just lost half of you)
Are the one that your co-workers reach out to for exceptionally complex SQL queries.
Have strong experience and/or interest in data science

Primary Responsibilities

Build out internally consumed REST APIs
Integrate extensively with external APIs and warehouse external API data
Design and build algorithms for surfacing insights from that data
Pioneer the process of defining a scalable development workflow
Light System Administration and architecture planning

Preferred Experience

Big data and analytics
Machine learning (text analysis, speech-to-text, sentiment)
AWS/GCP/Azure (or similar)
Continuous Integration
Caching Strategy
Websockets
Chat Bots
Social Media APIs (Twitch, Twitter, Facebook etc)

Primary Responsibilities

Deep learning/computer vision for image recognition
Elasticsearch/Solr/Lucene or equivalent technology
Experience using time series databases like InfluxDB
Scaling of high traffic sites
